We offer small group workshops designed for up to 4 pupils, suitable for young people in Years 7 to 13. Each session lasts for one hour, delivered weekly over a six-week period.

These workshops focus on essential life skills and resilience-building concepts, such as understanding the impact of trauma, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, peer pressure, bullying, self-esteem, healthy relationships and behaviour and anger management.

Tailored to meet the needs of different age groups, our workshops are engaging, interactive and fun incorporating a variety of hands-on activities. designed to motivate and inspire children and young people, helping to build resilience and equip them with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges.

Small group workshops

For children who may find group settings overwhelming, we offer one to one counselling sessions with the goal to provide young people with a safe, confidential space where they can talk openly and at their own pace.

Our counselling approach is inclusive of neurodiversity, recognising and respecting that each young person may have unique ways of experiencing and processing the world. We tailor each session to meet the individual needs of the young person, ensuring that any neurodiverse traits are understood and supported, and we create an environment where young people feel safe, respected, and free to express themselves.

All sessions are confidential within the bounds of professional practice. We work at the young person’s pace, allowing the process to progress in a way that feels comfortable and appropriate for them. Our counsellors are non-judgemental and empathetic and dedicated to upholding the principles of diversity and equality, ensuring that all individuals are treated with respect, dignity, and understanding.

Additionally, we adhere to the ethical guidelines set by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), ensuring that our practice meets the highest professional and ethical standards.

Statistics and outcomes

To track the transformative impact of The Lotus Pathway, we ask pupils to complete pre- and post-workshop questionnaires. The results from our 2024 programme demonstrate a real impact, with pupils' confidence increasing by an average of 71.1% after completing the 6-week course.

More specifically, students reported a huge 118% boost in their ability to manage anger, a 124% increase in managing stress and anxiety, and a 59% improvement in regulating emotions. These powerful outcomes reflect the real difference The Lotus Pathway is making.

We also provide tailored statistics for each individual school at the end of every 6-week programme, demonstrating the positive changes specific to each community.
